George Brown College’s Fashion Exchange aims to model and foster innovative, ethical, and environmentally and socially sustainable production. FX is a vibrant hub where fashion education, design, production, entrepreneurship and engagement come together under one roof in the heart of downtown Toronto. FX brings together fashion educators, industry partners, community organizations, and fashion graduates to innovate for an increasingly sustainable, socially-conscious, and economically vibrant fashion industry.
By bringing together educators, industry partners, community stakeholders and fashion graduates, FX has been successful at identifying and putting in place the practical education and curriculum needed to train people for immediate job opportunities. Our current training and education offerings include Postgraduate Certificates in Apparel Technical Design and Sustainable Fashion Production as well as the Fast Track employment focused Certificates: Women in Fashion TECH, Apparel Fit Technician and Industrial Power Sewing .
FX offers apparel manufacturing services to support emerging fashion designers and labels in their sample making and small-run production needs, providing further Design consulting and Mentorship training on demand.
George Brown College Fashion Exchange is grateful for the active support and participation of our local business, community and governmental partners.
